Steve and Laura's youngest daughter Kate, is marrying Brian DeBever on Saturday so we flew out to Golden to attend the wedding. I traveled a lot during my career but this is the first time we have flown since I retired in '06.
Trip Log
We have pictures of the roof going up. Today they started and finished the trusses.
Our Fl realtor is having a photographer take pictures of the building of our home and we received those of the finished pad a few days ago. Paul and Carol continue to take excellent pictures of progress on a daily basis.
Last night they put down the visqueen (plastic moisture barrier) and this morning they poured concrete. Paul and Carols sent numerous photos.
Happy Independence Day! Yesterday, Paul & Carol sent quite a few pictures of the rough plumbing and called tonight to say they will be pouring concrete tomorrow. Things are moving fast.
Today we got pictures from both Carol & Paul and our new neighbors showing the work on our lot. They have laid it out and appear to have dug some footers and are installing the forms.
We continue to have showings and an open house and have very good prospects, so hopefully it will be sold and we can focus on moving. We watched Bridget while Jeff and Bailey went to Great Adventure with neighbors on Monday.
Today is the first day of summer and the longest day of the year although yesterday seemed like it. After giving our thanks and bidding our farewells to Paul and Carol we hit the road at 7AM.
We signed the contract and paid our 20% down so they will start building our home in a few days and were given a closing date of September 4th, only 77 days.
Today we met with the home designer, Shelly. She walked us through all of the options and we made our choices then she took us around to see homes showcasing our chosen options.
